Compassion

We have many groups that show love to others through the form of compassion

Pathway to Peace

For men 21+ who have or are suffering from PTSD.

Also a part of our Nurture Groups

Alcoholics Anonymous

Meets every Tuesday evening at 6pm in our Youth Building.

St. Peter's Guild

The St. Peter's Guild prepares a meal to give the bereaved family and out-of-town friends a casual setting for sharing stories, supporting each other and remembering the loved one. Members of the guild provide this service as a ministry of Christian love to show their condolences to the family.

Yellow Ribbon

We have many members and families who serve in the military. We help those families with their needs while their loved ones are deployed, as well as hang a ribbon to show our love and support.

Mission/Benevolence

Is a team of people who help those in need, by giving, planning fundraisers/drives, and providing resources for families or individuals to get back on their feet.

“Sew Loved – Crossgates UMC” is a ministry providing bright, colorful aprons.  These aprons are being donated to the "Red Beans & Rice" Ministry.  Rice & Beans Ministries seeks to build relationships, support families and communities, and care for those in need in Costa Rica.

You do not have to sew to be a part of our group!  We need people to iron, fold, package, turn pillowcases, and sew.  Come give it a try. You may just find your calling.  If interested, call Betty Grant at 601-260-8407.

Backpack Buddies

Is a dedicated group to providing food and meals to students in the city over the weekends. They pack food bags on Wednesdays and deliver to the schools Thursdays or Fridays for the students to take home over the weekends. If you would like to be a part or help, please contact the church office.

GRAND JAMS MINISTRY

This ministry is ran by Bill Barnett who makes homemade jams & jellies throughout the year.  The pint size jars are sold and 100% of the proceeds go to the  Methodist Senior Services (MSS) .  The “Sunday Fund” established to help elderly residents living in one of MSS’s 12 senior communities to stay in their home should their personal financial resources be depleted.

Shower Power Ministry

Shower Power is more than a shower. We want to bring hospitality to the streets by delivering hygiene services to people experiencing homelessness. It's about taking time to show people that you care and restoring dignity by providing resources needed for self-care.

The homeless face many challenges, one being the difficulty in getting access to a shower. Even if they can get to a shelter, the shelter may not have a shower available.

Rice & Beans Mission

Food, Faith, Shelter, and Education

Our shared vision is to meet people where they are, sharing the love of Christ, and giving them hope that does not disappoint.

UMCOR

Connection is at the core of our work. Global Ministries connects The United Methodist Church, its people, and congregations to partner with others engaged in God’s global work, which takes place in a variety of settings, countries, and cultures.

Special Offerings

Throughout the year we collect special offerings for missions or needs.
